This Electricity II  Instructor part-time assignment is effective only for the 2017-2018 year.  This position will teach Electricity II to students who have successfully completed coursework in Electricity I.  This Electricity II course is where students continue to learn skills associated with the installation, operation, maintenance and repair of residential commercial and industrial electrical systems.  This also includes the study of electrical theory and mathematical problems related to electricity.  The instructor will be expected to teach students to successfully navigate the  National Electrical Code Book and the International Residential Code Book; to select and install conductors; to examine lighting, communication and power systems; and to work with conduit, raceways, panel boards, switchboards, grounding systems and generators.  Upon completion of the course, the instructor will have prepared student to successfully pass the International Residential Code Electrical Certification Exam.  This individual must be eligible to obtain the Electricity endorsement.  Applicants must possess Electrical Journeyman or Master’s license.  Experience in construction industry and/or as a commercial or residential electrician.  Solid understanding of electrical theory and application as it applies to the building industry.  Proficient understanding and application of OSHA requirements - OSHA card required.

This Electricity Instructor assignment is part-time, effective with the 2017-2018 school year.
